Overview

This one-hour lecture will describe the characteristics of musculoskeletal strain injury (MSI) among sonographers, and its impact on the worker and employer. Participants will be presented with the information to assist in identifying risk factors in their work environment. Additionally, the value of being proactive in the prevention of occupational injury will be discussed

Any physician, sonographer or other medical professional involved in scanning patients for a diagnostic ultrasound exam. Participants may include (but are not limited to) physicians and sonographers working in echocardiography, vascular surgery, sports medicine, orthopedics, emergency medicine, rheumatology, radiology, internal medicine, and family practice.
