Dr. Prats is currently the Assistant Ultrasound Director and Director of Ultrasound Research in the Division of Ultrasound in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Ohio State University. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, with dual majors of neuroscience and philosophy, before attending medical school at the Ohio State University. He subsequently completed his residency in emergency medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, followed by an emergency ultrasound fellowship at Ohio State University.
He is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the award-winning Ultrasound G.E.L. podcast, which reviews literature in point-of-care ultrasound. His academic interests include evidence based sonology, social media, and medical education.
