Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) has seen increasing utilization, providing bedside confirmation of various conditions and giving physicians a range of benefits that lead to better decision-making for improved patient outcomes. The musculoskeletal (MSK) setting has widely adopted POCUS because of its portability, ease of use, and its ability to do both diagnostic and therapeutic applications. As far as who can perform MSK ultrasound, many specialties including rheumatology, sports medicine, orthopedics, and physiotherapy can incorporate MSK ultrasound into clinical practice. Anyone who wants to leverage this technology to more efficiently use their time can do so. The key to success is proper training.

Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute offers regularly scheduled MSK Ultrasound Courses at our state-of-the-art facility in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. Our MSK Ultrasound Live Courses offer comprehensive training and feature a mixture of didactic lectures being presented by leading industry expert faculty, interactive case studies, hands-on scanning, and human cadaver workshops. MSK Ultrasound Blended Courses also offer a comprehensive training experience, but in a combination of an online, self-paced course followed by an extensive hands-on scanning workshop. The Blended MSK Ultrasound Courses include 15 months of unlimited access to the applicable Online Course (which covers the same topics as the corresponding traditional live course) plus a Hands-on Scanning Workshop at our facility in St. Petersburg, FL.

Because the hands-on experience is such an integral part of a successful ultrasound training experience, both the Live and Blended courses never exceed a 3:1 participant to instructor ratio during the scanning workshops. Faculty are always eager to interact personally with participants to answer any questions and share their wealth of MSK ultrasound knowledge with course participants. Additionally, all scanning workshops are conducted on pre-scanned and approved live human models for maximum optimal views. You will receive scanning checklists and case logs signed by Gulfcoast Ultrasound Instructors for your use (if needed) for hospital credentialing, etc.

If you are looking for the most comprehensive hands-on musculoskeletal ultrasound training where you will immediately implement skills learned into clinical practice, join us for an upcoming MSK Ultrasound Live or Blended Course and experience the Gulfcoast Ultrasound difference! We look forward to seeing you in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida! Call 727-363-4500 or visit GCUS.com to learn more and secure your spot.
