The Musculoskeletal Ultrasound: Foundational Anatomy & Diagnostic Basics Online Course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a strong foundation in musculoskeletal anatomy while developing the knowledge needed to perform and interpret common MSK ultrasound examinations. Ideal for healthcare professionals who may not have an extensive background in musculoskeletal anatomy, this comprehensive online course bridges the gap between anatomical knowledge and practical ultrasound application.
This course provides an in-depth review of musculoskeletal anatomy using custom anatomical diagrams and illustrations designed to help visualize the relationship between bones, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and other important structures. Anatomical concepts are then directly correlated with their sonographic appearance, helping learners better understand what they are seeing on the ultrasound image and how probe position and movement correspond to underlying anatomy. The course progresses from anatomy into MSK ultrasound scanning techniques and examination protocols, with recorded scanning demonstrations illustrating proper transducer placement, patient positioning, image orientation, and systematic evaluation of each region. Common musculoskeletal pathology is also reviewed to help participants distinguish normal anatomy from frequently encountered abnormal findings.
This comprehensive course covers upper and lower extremity joints, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and foot, providing learners with a systematic approach to evaluating the major joints and surrounding musculoskeletal structures.
Enrollment is valid for 12 months (365 days) and begins the moment the participant is enrolled.
