Overview

Since 1993, The Echocardiographer’s Pocket Reference has been the primary reference for sonographers and all students of Echocardiography. Now in its 5th edition, this textbook has been completely redesigned to allow for integrated learning. Entirely written by sonographers, 24 chapters of Echocardiographic knowledge are available at your fingertips. This edition has added four additional chapters, including anatomy and physiology in cardiac development, cardiac medications, instrumentation, and the comprehensive echo exam.

Designed as a reference text with the user in mind, educational content has been optimized with videos and color images that cover a broad spectrum of complex cardiac disease states. The author, Richard Palma (Richie), has done an excellent job providing all the basic concepts of echocardiographic evaluation of the heart in a format that is comprehensive and easy to access. Any student of Echocardiography can use this text as an educational tool and a primary reference text.
