Why Should I Earn a POCUS Certificate and/or Certification?:
Point of Care Ultrasound (or POCUS) is very rapidly becoming the new standard of care in pre-hospital, emergency, critical care, trauma, military applications/prolonged field care, and family medicine/urgent care, and other emergent settings. Many hospitals and facilities have established or are in the process of establishing credentialing requirements for providers of all levels to be able to perform POCUS exams in their facility. With sufficient training and experience, POCUS increases patient safety, satisfaction, and in many instances patient outcomes by empowering the provider with the ability to more readily diagnose and treat a patient at the bedside when time is a crucial factor in their treatment. By becoming POCUS Musculoskeletal Certified, you will have achieved the gold standard in Point of Care Ultrasound and earned the ability to validate you expertise in POCUS to employers, coworkers, and patients that you are a leader in the field.
