Objectives

  • Increase the participants knowledge to better perform and/or interpret point-of-care ultrasound examinations in an emergency medicine and critical care setting.
  • Recognizing the sonographic appearance of lung point sign, AAA, ruptured ectopic pregnancy, necrotizing fasciitis, bowel obstruction, and hydronephrosis.
  • Recognize the sonographic appearance of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
  • Improve knowledge of the benefits of regional anesthesia for rib fracture, hip fracture, and shoulder dislocation.

Physicians, sonographers, PAs, NPs and other medical professionals involved with performing and/or interpreting point of care ultrasound examinations in an emergency medicine and critical care setting.
