The POCUS for Family Medicine Ultrasound Blended Training Course is intended for any medical professional involved with performing point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) examinations and provides participants a strong foundation to perform the core ultrasound applications as outlined in the AAFP/ACEP and WINFOCUS ultrasound practice guidelines. The Blended Education format provides flexibility while providing time and cost savings.
Begin with the self-paced online course: Taught by leading emergency medicine and family medicine/primary care ultrasound experts, the online course incorporates comprehensive lectures, case presentations, and post-activity quizzes covering the core applications as outlined by AAFP and ACEP with fifteen (15) months unlimited access.
Then attend Scanning Skills Workshop: Join us in sunny St. Petersburg, FL for a Two (2) Day (12 Hours) scanning skills workshop at our state-of-the-art facility. The extensive hands-on scanning skills workshop features the industry lowest 3:1 participant to faculty ratio allowing the participant to immediately integrate the skills learned into clinical practice. Hands-on skills training includes abdominal, cardiac, trauma, thyroid, soft-tissue, MSK, DVT and ultrasound-guided procedural and central vascular access applications as well as transabdominal and transvaginal gynecological scan techniques. If 1st – 3rd trimester OB hands-on skills training is desired, contact us to discuss scheduling an onsite educational program at your facility.
For the best ultrasound education experience, completion of the online course prior to the hands-on scanning workshop is recommended.
